Join us for a powerful conversation: Supporting Veterans in the Workplace. We're honored to welcome a special guest speaker who will shed light on an important topic- helping veterans successfully transition into civilian careers. This session will explore the unique strengths veterans bring to the workplace, the challenges they may face, and how HR professionals, leaders, and coworkers can be a source of meaningful support.
Whether you're a manager, a teammate, or just someone who wants to better understand and uplift our veterans, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
Come learn, connect, and be inspired.
Meet the speaker:
Saul E. McCloyen was born in Lake Village, Arkansas. He’s the oldest of four sons. After graduating from all honor classes in High School, he attended the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, Arkansas .
After completing his freshman year at college, Saul enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he finished his education in the Information Management Career Field, and quickly “climbed the ranks” as a Noncommissioned Officer. He served in a myriad of locations around-the-world to include Ramstein, Germany, England, Hawaii, Guam, the Philippines, and a host of other locations. During his illustrious 20-plus years career, he accumulated numerous Achievement Certificates, Awards, and many prestigious medals for stellar performances—To include receiving an Accommodation Medal for saving an individual’s life.
Saul has always had a desire to help others. While serving at the University of North Carolina, William Haney, a college student collapsed in the middle of a road on the campus. Saul noticed and lifted the young man onto his shoulders and carried him over 100-yards across-the-campus to the Emergency Room. The individual suffered from a collapsed lung and required an immediate surgery. He received the surgery and survived what could have been a fatal condition.
This is the kind of spirit of “service to others” that he continues to demonstrate daily, as the Veterans Business Services Representative, for Wake, Edgecombe, and Nash County.
Lastly, Saul is married to the lovely Elise Keyes McCloyen. Their current home of residence is Raleigh, NC.
We hope to see you there!
