Speaker:       Tina Garrett

Human Resources and the Chamber of Commerce:  Collaboration for the benefit of Both.  As Human Resource professionals we all look for resources for workforce information, help in recruiting and hiring employees, ways to attract talent to our community, resources for training and development of future employees and ways to reduce our workload by pooling our resources on projects that benefit all of us. The Chamber of Commerce can help us in many of these areas.  Come to our April meeting to learn how we can effectively collaborate with our local Chamber to accomplish these goals.

Tina Garrett is the Investor Relations Manager for the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce.  Tina is a native of Roper, NC, but has called Rocky Mount home for the last 15 years.  After receiving her B.S. Degree from Elizabeth City State University, Tina has spent more than 20 years in the Human Services arena, many of those years were in the nonprofit setting. 

Before joining the Chamber Team, Tina worked with an Intensive Family Preservation, Time-Limited Reunification, and Post Adoption Programs, all involved preserving the family unit. 

Tina really enjoys working with the Chamber as it affords her the opportunity to not only meet and connect with the wonderful citizens of the Twin Counties and surrounding areas, but it also allows her to learn so much about the awesome opportunities, advantages, and rich history of our great community.
