    About the Event:

    America has elected a new president and uncertainty is high around the changes a new administration will bring.  Employers are asking, "What is 'Trumpcare' and how could it impact my business?"

    Now more than ever employers should turn to their benefits consultants for an understanding of what is yet to come. During this presentation, we will review President Donald Trump’s statements on healthcare and compare and contrast those statements with previous healthcare plans proposed by Representatives Paul Ryan and Tom Price that may form the basis of an ACA replacement. We will provide insight into the changes that might occur, including:

    • Anticipated timelines for repeal and replacement;
    • Repeal of the Cadillac Tax and possible cap on the employer tax exclusion for health benefits;
    • The role of Health Savings Accounts in a replacement plan; and
    • The future of pre-existing condition exclusions.

    After highlighting the potential positive and negative changes for employers and employees, we will close with a brief question and answer session. Understanding the possible upcoming changes will allow HR to take on a more active role by bringing value to their organization’s business strategy during this uncertain time. Join us to learn about the changes employers must anticipate as we enter a new era of healthcare reform.

    This event is approved for one (1) general HRCI credit.  Credit is pending for one (1) hour of SHRM PDC.
