Program Announcement

The Golden East Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is pleased to present the following program for our members and guests:

Program

  Nia Doaks from Poyner Spruill. LLP will discuss answers to frequently asked employment questions related to the COVID 19 pandemic.  In her discussion she will talk about ADA accommodation  issues, confidentiality of medical information in the remote work environment and hiring and onboarding during the time of COVID 19.  In addition she will discuss things to consider when returning to the physical workplace.including guidance for employers around the COVID 19 vaccine.

Nia Doaks, Associate       

Nia Doaks is a graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law and is

currently a student in Wake Forest’s MBA program. She brings her passion for learning and advocacy to the firm's Employment Law section.

Nia’s educational background has provided her with international experience, leadership skills, and a solid work ethic as well as a drive and passion for helping others. Nia counsels businesses on employment law issues under federal and state law and represents clients in litigation and proceedings before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Nia is currently working to obtain her Masters in Business Administration and is looking forward to using that experience to better understand and support the intersection of clients’ business and legal needs.
